EUROPEAN BIATHLE AND TRIATHLE QUALIFYING EVENTS.

I've been fortunate to have participated in two big events this month! The European Biathle Qualifiers took place at Palatine Leisure Centre in Blackpool. We bade a sad farewell to MR. BIATHLE, Howard Jones who has been Great Britain Biathle team manager since Biathle started in 1999.

Howard encouraged me to participate in the first ever UK Biathles in 1999 in Rossall and Weymouth in 2000, leading to my Great Britain debut in Port Elizabeth, South Africa in 2001.
Howard will be sadly missed as he begins his retirement from Biathle. I have much to thank him for.

The event was very well organised by Nicola Robinson Nèe Rowley and her team. There was a great atmosphere and I claimed second place.

We travelled to Sherborne in Dorset for the European Triathle Qualifying event featuring a shoot, swim and run combination. I claimed first place in my first Triathle event and will represent GREAT BRITAIN at Biathle and Triathle at the European Championships in Madeira in July.
