NEIL THOMSON PERSONAL FITNESS TRAINING AT FITNESS CONNECTION GYM LIVERPOOL.
Neil is going back to his roots at FITNESS CONNECTION GYM LIVERPOOL by joining their professional team of personal trainers. Neil trained at Fitness Connection Gym in his younger days and learned much from Ray and Linda Handley, owners of the Gym. Neil's early training stood him in good stead in his career in sport and fitness. Neil started out in 1990 as one of Merseyside's first personal fitness trainers, soon gaining an impressive portfolio of high calibre clients in Merseyside and Cheshire. Most of the training took place at clients' houses. As word spread of Neil's success as a long distance swimmer, Neil was in demand as a swimming teacher and coach. Over the years, the swimming overtook the fitness training in Neil's business. It's with great enthusiasm that Neil returns to FITNESS CONNECTION GYM LIVERPOOL to re-launch his personal fitness training business. Neil will be joining Craig Handley's team of elite personal trainers and will be available on a daily basis for clients who wish to develop their fitness and gain the results they deserve from their training.
Over the last four years, Neil has gained huge success as a 1 to 1 personal open water swimming coach at the Delph Watersports Centre. This role will continue for Neil as he re-launches the personal fitness side of his business. The main similarly is that he can give one hundred per cent focus to each client during each session. Age is no limit. No matter how old you are, you can still progress with your fitness. Indeed it is to be argued that the older we become, the more beneficial the training becomes. Use it or lose it! In 2023, at sixty two years of age, Neil represented Great Britain at the World Biathle Championships in Bali, Indonesia and gained fifth place in the individual event. Neil was part of the silver medal winning Great Britain Men's M60 team and finished the year ranked second in Great Britain in his age category. Keeping setting targets helps keep us young.
