Delph 2 miler
We had a good attendance at the Delph Watersports Centre Two Mile Swim Event.
Water temperature was 21°C.
All standards of swimmer were welcome and there was no time limit.
Michelle Nickson set a new record to win the Women's Freestyle in 39.20, an improvement of 3 minutes since our last event.
Emily Rowe won the Junior event in 41.08 in her debut swim.
The closest finish was in the Men's Freestyle event with James O’Neill taking gold from Tom Pritchard in silver position and Neil Rothwell in bronze in his first open Water swim.
The Men's Breaststroke was won by Alister Collins and the Women's Breaststroke was won by Joanna Blackman with Alison Mather in silver position.
The Women's One Mile Freestyle was won by Lurdes Corlett and the Women's One Mile Breaststroke event was won by Beverley Rothwell.
A big thank you to Delph Watersports Centre manager and friend Andy Godber for organisational help and to Cafe team of Amy Hurst, Hannah Morris and Jessica for vital work on the catering front.
